What are superficial peels for?
Chemical peels are an aesthetic technique used to rejuvenate the skin. They aim to refresh the skin by targeting signs of aging, inflammation, scarring and irregular pigmentation.
Very superficial skin peels effectively treat a range of skin conditions from fine lines to superficial scarring. The treatment is suitable for all ages and skin types.
What does a superficial peel involve?
The face will be cleansed and prepared, this will be followed with the uniform application of the chemical peeling solution to the face. The peel will be left on the face for a specific amount of time, depending on the type of peel and skin type/condition being treated. The solution will be neutralised and protective products will be placed on the skin. You may feel a mild tingle during this process, however apart from this you will be able to continue with your normal day. The procedure should result in the skin appearing brighter, clearer and firmer.
